You might get a kick out of this.

I was following Rosie through the kitchen and noticed that she was favoring her right rear paw. I snagged her up and examined the paw. I wiggled the paw and squeezed it, and it worked fine. No special reaction. When I put her down she did it again. Then I figured it out: She was mocking me, and imitating my gait! Only a cat would take the time to mock me. =^..^=

It's a good thing you checked her foot. Last Sunday evening I noticed my 14 year old cat was not walking on his left rear leg. I picked him up and the leg just didn't feel right. Took him to the Animal Emergency and Urgent Care. Broken leg. They splinted the leg and said to see our regular vet in 1 to 3 days. Made an appointment with our regular for first thing Tuesday morning. Dr. Cook said with as close to the knee as the break was it would need to be pinned. He is now on restricted activity for six weeks. Have to keep him in our convalescence carrier. Xrays from last Sunday attached.

Ouch! Poor kitty. Do you have any idea how he did it? I don't know why I ask. Cats will hide an injury as long as they can, even in extreme pain. It's sounds like your kitty is getting the proper care. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Nothing new there. She sends them off when the step in the wrong place.

When I was laid out on the couch I kept a large sofa pillow atop the injured area. It still hurt when the cat landed on top, but not to the point of cursing. =^..^=

My cats mock me all the time. Mostly about the way I dress. I realized they were rubbing hair all over me as a way of saying "Your're not going to wear that , are you?"

We have an occasional table with cutouts for picking it up on the ends. He does like to sit on it and may have gotten his leg caught. One thing both the emergency vet and our regular vet were worried about at first was the possibility of bone cancer in older cats as it can lead to broken bones.

I don't know how much this will help, but someone dear to me went through a hip and knee replacement a few years ago. Based on that, it appears that the physical therapy portion of Mrs. Blackcat's recovery could be a bit trying. But keep the faith, it should be a lot better when she is done with that.

My mother had her knee replaced in November, after 30+ years of knee problems stemming from being hit by a car as a child. She has had some complications, in her immune system potentially rejecting the knee leading to a secondary infection. The solution is to suppress the immune system until it tolerates the change, else it's to attempt another surgery and second replacement. I'm glad we're in Canada, that wouldn't be cheap in the US!

All in all, her recovery has been well other than the aforementioned problem, best wishes to your missus in her recovery!
