For some reason, I know that automotive brake cleaner will do the same thing. So don't use brake cleaner on plastic either.

Light weight hydrocarbons ie. solevents, brake fluid, WD40 etc, can make plastics, rubbers and seals swell up.
If you have a hydrolic car jack that is leaking around the seal; put a cap full of brake fluid inside the cylinder,
it will make the rubber seal swell up and temporarly stop the leak.

Talking about brake cleaner, used to use brake fluid on hot fusers and a bit of that once a week into the carburetor of the LDV i use to drive would make a ball of blue smoke but did magic to keep the engine clean and to give good fuel consumption.

    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.

It wasn't my first fall from a ladder, but it was the first time I landed like that. The tuck and roll works much better. For the most part though, I only do each stupid thing once. =^..^=
