On short runs everything works fine but whenever I do long runs the paper in the exit tray is really hot.

This stupid machine won't make a copy. It keeps telling me to put 11x17 paper in and I don't have any.
Yes mam, if you will remove the other papers off of the sensors on the document feeder the machine will stop thinking you have an 11x17 original.

On a Ricoh 1075 and also a 1022 with the optional LCT

"Paper won't feed from the A3 (DLT) tray, keeps constantly jamming"

...on arrival A3 (DLT) paper loaded into the A4 (LT) tandem tray

    "Machine overheating"

..."no sir, that's a fusing unit, it's supposed to get hot"

    "Copies coming out blank"

On arrival demonstrate that originals should be fed into the DF with the side to be copied facing up.

Best one ever was at a school that "recycled" paper from unwanted copies....

"Copies coming out with wrong stuff on the reverse side"

Every Mita tech has had this phone conversation at some point in their career

Customer: I need service, my machine only makes one copy at a time.

Tech: Is your "add toner" light on?

Customer: Yes, but it only makes one copy at a time

Tech: That's because your add toner light is on. Remember you had the same exact problem last month when your "add toner" light was on.

Customer: I know, but it only makes one copy at a time

Tech: That's because your "add toner" light is on

Customer: I know it needs toner but it only makes one copy at a time

Tech: It is supposed to do that, until you add toner it will only make one copy at a time.

Customer: Even when I put the original on the glass, it still only makes one copy at a time.

Tech: what part of "add toner" is most difficult for you to understand?

Customer: My machine only makes on copy at a time

Tech: Do you have any toner?

Customer: Yea, but I think my machine is broken, it only makes one copy at a time.

Tech: Argh, OK, I swing by this afternoon and see if I can fix it for you

    Customer: Fix What?

    Tech: Your copier

Customer: Oh yea, did I tell you it was only making one copy at a time?
