    MPC3300 SC817 after FW Update

Did a firmware update and now get an immediate SC817. The manual doesn't list this error and TSRC doesn't have anything on it either.
Has anyone seen this? If it is bad fw, how do I reinstall? Can't get past the code.

sc 817 on some other models says to reload firmware. I would go to rfg esource and download fresh firmware and put onto a sd card to reload firmware.

Can't reload fw. The SC pops up immediately and the box is dead.

I would take out any sd cards in the controller and then try reloading firmware with a different sd card than the one you were using when this error occurred.

    Agreed.
I also saw some references to disconnecting the HDD, and then trying to boot and/or re-flash the FW

Still no go. new fw, different SD card, disconnected HDD. Any more ideas? Heard something about a SD Boot card. Anyone know anything about it?

A number of entries in Goose's Guide for other model indicate Boot Loader Error. Some models are able to boot from a special SD card. I don't know if this is one of them or not. Try to contact tech support and request a "Boot SD card". Your only other option is to replace the controller. I noticed that your profile shows that you are from California. If you are with a dealer, you might want to contact either Steve Daniels or Leland Tam. Steve is the dealer support rep for southern California and Leland is for northern California. They can either send you what you need or tell you what you need to do in order to have them come to your location for a support visit.

Not quite sure but don’t think MPC3300 can boot from SD card , try reload firmware and if failed replace the controller
