Ricoh MP C3300, info after Engine reset

    Hi all

So I attended a MPC3300 that had the 'load toner' message for the black which usually is a black pump problem.

I replaced the black pump and tube but this did not resolve the issue.

The black dev unit turned fine as did the PCU.

I eventually came to the point where I reset the engine NV Ram and voila, black toner registered as full.

However as I have reset the engine NV Ram, all the colours are way out.

Now I knew to print out SP data before resetting so I have all the data.

I haven't gone through all of them yet but I did try a forced line adjustment on modes a,b and c but all failed.....colour registration in system maintenance could not be completed either.

Some of the SP data wouldn't let me change values too.

Does anyone know which values on the SP data print out is needed to be entered or do I have to go through all of them?

It is the non default data you need to re-enter. You should have the bible from the machine that came with it. Some SP's do not let you change them, that's fine. Just go through every one and input what you can and don't worry about the rest.

In my some 30 years of copier fixing, NV ram clear of any kind never brought anything but more trouble.
So only at gunpoint and after taking a couple of bullets I would do this.

Even with safed backed up NV data on sd card the shit will kick your butt, refusing to reload the backed up data.

Think your problem will appear soon once more...

When I experience a line adjustment failure, this is the process that I was advised to use by another contributor, and it's resolved the issue every time.
Note: I really should start keeping track of who exactly provides me with all this excellent info so I can credit them properly, but you know who you are .

    Good Luck!

    For C2500 /3500/2800/ 3300 series (etc.)

Reasoning: Resetting ACC is that the calibration is written on top of the last calibration over and over. Therefore it becomes corrupt at some point, so the factory recall sets it back to default so you get a fresh start.

    - ACC Recall SP5-610-4

    - ACC Recall SP1-101-1 in Printer SP

    - Process Control SP3-011-1

    - Process Control Result SP3-012 -> 11111111 (Eg: 11(Y)11(C)11(M)11(K)
Note: * Anything other than ‘11’ indicates a problem

    - Line Adjustment C SP2-111-3

    - Line Adjustment A SP2-111-1 Execute twice

    - Printer Test Page SP1-103-2 in Printer SP

In the nondefaults there should be settings for main and sub scan for each color. Start with those.

I don't know who originally posted that either, but I immediately wrote it into my bible of fixes, useful SP modes etc. so I'd like to thank them too

Open the service manual, go to Appendix: Troubleshooting Guide - Troubleshooting Guide - Line Position Adjustment. As bob marley said, clean the ID sensor first. Also if any drum or development unit is over 100% used, replace it.
