parts and supply compatability on mpc2050 vs mpc2051?

I am doing the switch over to mpc2051 s unit as my supply of low meter non yellow mpc2050s has dried up.
I assume the drum units and dev units are interchangeable, are the fuser units?
    and can i use mpc2050 toner on a mpc2051?
i know the mpc2051 black toner is available with hi yield but need to know where the account has left over mpc2050 toners.
    thnx

    Fusing units are different.
High yield toner ae available for all four colors. Color cartridges are interchangeable, black is not.

Nope, fusers are completely different. They use a sleeve like the 02's. Dev units are different too.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

    Developer Units are the same.
    Double-checked.....hi.gif
I use to replace them very often, they run about 60K prints,
not the best part of this series.

Really? I tried to fit a 2050 dev unit to a 2051 and got PCU not set. I had to put the TD sensor from the old one onto the new one to get it to work.

maybe the td sensor is wired differently,
i guess ricoh would hate for us to be
    able to use leftover parts...
I have nt had many parts go on the 2050 excluding
pressure roller lamps and fuser sleeves.none are
    placed in high volume accounts.

Well, i did replace a Yellow Dev. Unit from an MP C2550 to an MP C2051 two weeks ago,
without a problem, without any modification indeed.
Besides, the Parts Lists have the same part numbers : Β8093001,2,3,4.

And yes, i have found a brand new D.U. where the TD sensor was defective.(Message : Set PCU corectlly)
I think that this is what happened to you TonerMonkeh...

what type of problem caused you to change the units?
    CQ?
    NOISE?

Developer leakage at the rear side, ruins the PCDU totally, the drum gear especially!
Mostly happens if printing 11x17 format is the half part of the whole activity....
