    MP2501

I replaced drum, developer and blade and executed the proper sp modes.
After the replacement, image at the upper side for about 7cm is light.
I cleaned optics, laser unit , used an other opc drum, checked separation .
Also i checked developer distribution on magnetic roller and looks ok.
I executed sp 2 802 and 2 801 with no result also i noticed when i try to make darker the image
it doesn't has any effect on image. I think to replace developer (again) Any idea?

    Re: MP2501

Just chased my ass for a couple of months. There are these new "dark greenish" compatible drums sold by several suppliers. most of the time they set up fine, but quickly go to poor density.
I had the same thoughts as you, proper set up ? bad dev ? Turned out to be bad drums.
    Hope this helps

I have tried with an OEM OPC drum (now ihave OEM one in the machine ) with no result.
I also have tested machine with a whole drum unit from an other machine (which machine has made only 15k copies and OEM OPC) , the same no result.

OEM does not mean Genuine Ricoh.

I mean the whole drum i tested is the drum machine had when i sold it and it has 15k copies
    so it is genuine Ricoh.
Also customer told me that before drum developer and blade change image had only dark lines and after service light image at the top appears.I think he is right but i can't remember for sure. Except drum unit i haven't touched anything else on the machine.

    Re: MP2501

If the fault is happening on prints you can rule out the optics.

You have swapped another drum unit, so you can rule that out.

It can only be the laser or the dust glass did you clean the dust glass?
