Anything else to add, such as what you've done already to try and resolve it? Or what may have lead to this problem?
Or should we just start suggesting things, and have you tell us you've already done that?

(Sorry, I'm a bit angry today, because yesterday I was on a beach, and today I woke up in a blizzard)

Sandy, I looked at my radar app yesterday to see if the rain was ever going to end, and I looked north in your area where I saw colors of radar blue I had never seen before It looked like you guys got hammered. The beach would be much better.
As far as the image, Jude, it sure looks like a processing fault. Clearing your applications and rebooting may help.

Not really at all here in the city, Mika.
You don't have to go very far north of here though, and certainly lots of places across the country, and the U.S. are way worse off! It turned to rain here, and just created a sloppy mess more than anything. I'm just bitter because of where I've been for the last week .......But we're WAY off topic now (Sorry Jude)

Yes that would help to give some detail. Weather here has been nice last few months. No snow just record warm temps here in the Northeast. I grew up in the Midwest and wish for warmer temps there for you. Glad you were able to get some nice R&R on the beach.

    Now to detail machine.
Here is what I have done:

Tried a color registration in maintenance in the User tools. I have changed transfer belt and drum unit. (Cyan) Nothing else because the machine was in storage for a bit then put back into the field. If you have any constructive please let me know.

seems to be the cyan is problem. The blue banding you see is weird. So is the offset. Just looks like registration is way offf.

Just looks like the line position adjustment is WAY out of whack. Although, I've personally never seen it quite that bad. I would imagine running the standard adjustment would fail, so you could try what I've nicknamed "advanced line position adjustment", and again thanks to the member who gave this to me some time ago, it's helped me on countless occasions (I wish I remembered who it was ).

    * Make sure the ID sensors are clean First (Dry cloth, air, or water only)

If the normal Line Position adjustment fails.....

    Reasoning:
Resetting ACC is the calibration is written on top of the last calibration over and over. Therefore it becomes corrupt at some point - so the factory recall sets it back to default, so you get a fresh start.

    - ACC Recall SP5-610-4

    - ACC Recall SP1-101-1 in Printer SP

    - Process Control SP3-011-1

    - Process Control Result SP3-012 -> 11111111 (Example: 11(Y)11(C)11(M)11(K)
    Note:
    * Anything other than ‘11’ indicates a problem

    - Line Adjustment C SP2-111-3

    - Line Adjustment A SP2-111-1 Execute twice

    - Printer Test Page SP1-103-2 in Printer SP

Please excuse my ignorance ... does this machine use laser or LED exposure?

Recently I had a Konica Minolta that was reprinting sections of the image in other places on the page. I believe my problem is caused by the LED array. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: MPC 2551 weird color registration: See samples

Since it has set for a bit in storage, the first thing I would do is to clean the ID sensor assembly. Not knowing the direction of paper travel, it is hard to tell where the extra cyan on the Color Test Pattern is coming from. At first I thought offsetting in the cyan drum unit but that would not explain the cyan squares. It also looks like the colors on one side of the cyan line are off more than on other side. Is the Color Test Pattern scan that of the pattern as printed from printer SP or is it a copy?

I think that machine has dirty laser optics.
Sometimes it gets so dirty that machine can't detect LD beam properly and can't adjust the Polygon mirror motor speed.
Look if you have few laser synchronisation errors loged in SP7403, SC237 or SC243,stuff like that.
If polygon motor speed isn't correct pages may have shifted color, incomplete color, patterns coming out like barcodes.
Gears, springs, clutches, sliders, connectors and electronics...who on earth can tell what's wrong with it?
