Again, Mikadonovan, the shutter comes off easily yes, but WHAT IF ITS NOT the shutter, and its the sensor or motor ? What can i do then ??? Thats the million dollar question.
I think the gist of it is that quite a few of us now have said that "in our experience" the solution has been to remove the shutter plate.
As for driving for 2 hours to the call you don't have any other customers in that area to make it worth your while?
Not having a go but that's what most of us do..wait til the calls build up in that area then tidy up what we can....bugger driving 2 hours for one customer.
Definitely give the shutter plate removal a go...here in Australia we have a saying.."suck it and see" lol

Damn, Dude. If the shutter removal doesn't work, then replace the sensor and motor. Bring a lunch, cause it takes a half day or so. Or more.

and motor all was in vain , at last the problem solved after IOB replacement

In factory mode 2914-007 exists on MPC3500/4500. Maybe you could try it before disassembling the whole machine

Ah, to exist, or not to exist. I wish I had known about that sp mode about 5 years ago Thanks for this little tidbit.

It's an old machine but runs really good, I was able to disable the shutter with factory sp mode (missing link secret 143), working just fine so far.
