Literally just 1 second after pressing execute, it that fails try 2 seconds any longer & you risk doing damage!

However the fuses are peanuts to buy also they come with a new sleeve so this trick isn't worth the risk.

Thank you for your quick reply, it is not related to the cost , it is about have or not have, in my country it is not easy to find.

Yes, you normally shouldn’t need to do this. Only time I’ve needed it is when a further problem kept causing the fuse to blow when powered on. I would have needed several fuses on my to fix that. Instead I just used this trick.

Yes SP5810-01 or 02 depending on what code you have.

    Check the manual if unsure.

    Re: MPC5502: SC544 M0264371 part

i made a jig up with a mini side door switch and an old thermister end connector"think it was a 3pin" and security wire.
It took a bit to trip out code at least on this machine.
I dont think i could fit that other one in my tool bag, so mini one serves my need and stays in my bag in case i see that again..
I also now copy the nvram for all my 02s i service and keep them on my laptop just in case

Or, use the reset fuse / switch and two wires, and then use SP5-810-02. If you are gettings these service codes, then the fuser sleeve is most likely damaged, thankfully a new sleeve comes with a reset fuse.

You ever need to replace the NVRAM to reset a fuser service code.
