    MP 2852 and SC-144

    Parts replaced:

    1. IPU
    2. SIO
    3. Controller
    4. CCD w/SBU
    5. Harness from SBU to SIO
    6. Harness from SBU to IPU
    7. Power Supply
    8. Scanning lamp and harness
    9. Front and side door switches
    10. BCU

There is a small board that sits in front of the power supply called a SBD board that has connectors going to the pwr supply, toggle switch, IPU and BCU that I have not replaced and not really sure what other purposes it serves outside of turning power on and off.

    Any ideas anyone?

SDB = Shut Down Board. Not sure of the exact function as they no longer have the detailed descriptions. It appears to have 2 small relays on it. I haven't worked on a xx52 recently so can't remember if they have the delayed shutdown or if that was introduced with the xx53. If it has delayed shutdown, then that is what the board is for. Otherwise I would say that it is some type of safety board that will shut the machine down under certain danger conditions.

Delayed shutdown was introduced on the 01 range, I believe.

The lamp lights up, but I could not find an output check for the scanner motor.
