Just because the machine recognizes it doesn't mean it's good.
The fact that a Windows based notebook can't print either means it's not a Mac problem.
Try this: From the PC, LPR a PDF fie to it (make sire it's small, you don't need a big test), by going to a command prompt and typing: "lpr -S <ip address of copier> -P lp c:\test,pdf". For example "lpr -S 192.168.1.10 -P lp c:\my-ps-test.pdf".
The S and P are case sensitive, and you may need to add the LPR feature to Windows.
That will keep a bunch of variables out of the equation, especially anything to do with driver or platforms.
My hunch is it will fail, and you have a bad PS card.

Which SD card slot is the PS3 SD card inserted in? For proper operation it need to be in the top slot, Slot 1, Slot 2 is only for firmware updates and the VM card. If there is another card in slot 1, you will have to use Move Exec to copy the contents of that card to the PS3 card.
Also worth noting that due to licensing, other apps (not VM) can be merged onto the PS card, but the PS card can't be moved to another.
Some years ago we had a tech kill a PS card by attempting to merge it to another. The boss was NOT happy.

Yes it's in the top slot. I've updated the firmware also, they are sending over a replacement ps card.

Glad it's fixed.
Update on the PS/ PDF thing, though.
Newer machines (not sure if it started with the 02 or 03 series), can print a PDF if sent directly to it without a driver.
Previously, it required the PS option, as a PDF is a PDF file with a little extra data.
That one threw me at an account who LPRed PDFs directly from SAP, and the machines did not have PS on them.
All of their machines are 03 models, so the files printed OK.
