Hi going to a machine tomorrow which keeps displaying "Shutting down",latest firmware already installed-any idea's?
I have these models but never encountered this issues so far. Try checking the main switch. You know this are tact switch and any misalignment can press the button and shuts down the machine. The same happened on my MP C 3003 after removing the front and top cover to install the card reader and putting it back the button got stuck and the machine was shutting down. That's all I can think of for now.
Did you also update the SOP firmware?

As I don't work on anything that new, this may be the stupidest suggestion posted on this thread.
Still, are all the power saver settings in "User Tools" set properly?
Sorry, but I had to ask as I have seen them set to some pretty unrealistic values back in the day. That never caused an issue exactly like you described in the initial post, but a couple were kind of similar.
Bu default power save is set to 60 seconds but this will never shut the machine down as then it wont print or receive faxes!
Wait till you get on site customers often report inaccurate faults!

Hi there!
The shutting-down-process on this b...ch can be awful long. Maybe the customer pulled the powercord. The problem is that the machine is out, but the SOP-led is still blinking. That can cause a problem. Also important is the starting sequence of the SOP, it must be on fast, not normal. Normal is only needed when updating the SOP alone. If updating via package itīs not necessary.
Greetings...
RESOLVED-Turned out to be bad operation panel, fitted new ,booted straight up no problems, the old one would show the android figure on his side in a yellow jacket with a red cross through him when entering sop service mode-expensive fix!
Thanks for the update! Maybe there is a recovery option for the ops panel like any other tablet a factory default reset etc then u can save the old panel for a spare!
