One other thing to look into would be s wide format inkjet banner printer. Some of them can handle cut sheet poster board flat fed from the back, if I remember correctly up to 1/4 inch in thickness.

The Pro C901+ Graphics Arts edition will handle 350gsm through the A3/DLT LCT only. The A4/LT LCT can only handle 216gsm from trays 3&4 and 163gsm from tray 5. Trays 1&2 in the mainframe can only handle up to 220gsm.
The above is all per the product support guide.
Registration is what you'd expect with a Ricoh. Heh. The heavier stocks have a small tendency to skew when the "Guide: Arm: Shift" begins to wear from running against the cams all day long. It's a simple fix when this happens. You may also need to adjust the buckle a bit for heavier stock, as I've noticed this fixes a whole array of problems from ptr late jams to registration in the paper feed direction.

The new color machines, MP C3004-3504-4504-6004, will support 52-300 gsm.
Hi. I have 3 pro 5100's and 8 8002's running 300gsm all day long, duplexing also if set to thick 3 or 256gsm. Also the 5100's run 400gsm ivory board or 350gsm uncoated from the SRA3 LCT. You have to remove the transfer belt bar tho or else the text is smudged 3/4 way down as the card clips it a little. I know this is pushing boundaries but I have machines over a million and fine still on the original transfer belts and fuser belts.
Hope that helps.
