If the registration roller has a mylar right before it, I've seen creasing of the paper from uneven wear on the mylar and the paper not hitting the registration roller evenly!

Hi All
I found the problem and only by chance really. I removed the duplex gate, which the bulletin suggests to clean up the pawls as the become rough. That's when I noticed that the return spring/coil spring gate pawl p/n aa066414 was broken. The hook end that attached to the duplex guide was missing. Therefore the gate was flapping in the wind and this seemed to cause an intermittent fault. I've attached a picture from the manual with the end of the spring that broke off arrowed. Hope this helps anyone having the same problem
Cheers

I've just had EXACTLY the same thing. What a ballache.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.
Perhaps check the paper for moisture? Paper can collect alot of moisture overnight whilst machine is in sleep mode and idle, then when people come in machine fires up but moisture content in paper is high and fuser boils it out normally a few inches in from LE and random non uniform shap crease. Get them to remove paper and put a new ream in and see if still an issue. ALSO fuser heat control settings...
Good Luck
