I repeat...NO. Changing the individual tray settings so that duplex mode is disabled will keep any users from getting a duplexed copy out of that tray if they so choose in the future. To accomplish the original posters stated objective you DO NOT have to change ANY tray settings. Follow the step-by-step procedure I outlined earlier and it will work. I have reproduced his mistake and listed the corrected steps on my machine. I am finished with this thread. Good luck.

Sorry the misinformation.

Setting up the second machine I was able to disable the duplex without disabling the tray paper settings.

I thought I had tried from both the duplex setting screen, and the copy screen but it appears that it was setting the default to non-duplex from the copy screen worked with the second machine.
