White shade on copies on black only, not really on prints.

I am getting a white shade on copies, not really on prints. It only happens on the black portion. I attached a print out of the color sheet, which shows the missing black on the side. I also attached a color calibration that failed, not sure if it because of the missing black portion. I replaced the black developer. it's a MP C3503 aficio.Copy quality.pdf

Developer or laser. Clean the laser slit glasses then ACC it. If after cleaning the laser glasses you still have the defect, replace the black dev unit. What are the counters on the machine?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

You need to clean the laser shield glass. If that does not correct it, then you have a dirty doctor blade on the development unit. You may have to replace the complete development unit, not just the developer. On other potential problem is that you have gotten dust or toner inside the laser unit and on the final mirror for the black laser.

I replaced the developer. I cleaned the 3 mirrors/ glass. If they are dirty would it still just show on black only? Shouldn't it show on all colors? Counter not high, about 150k.

TonerMunkeh was referring to the laser shield glass.

The blue stick in the front door. The cleaning slots are below the PCU's.

It was the glass shields. I used that blue stick. it did nothing to solve it. I needed to pull the laser unit out and clean the glass by hand.
    Thanks everyone.
