    Ricoh Fax MPC4501

    Hello-
Does anyone no how to change the "tx file status" to show up the sent fax numbers instead of a name. The display seems to show what the receivers name is set to for example some will say FAX SERVER. I would like it just to display the number it was sent to. hopefully just a parameter needs to be changed. Thanks

It is a parameter on the machine that you are sending to.

If I understand your question you what to see the telephone number listed on the Fax TX Status Report? In FAX SP Mode: SP 1-101-010 (System Switch 9) set Bit 7 to "1" to show FAX number dialed on reports.

    Just as an FYI...

When end the name of the other party shows as "Fax Server", that means it is just that, a fax server, and not a standalone fax or MFP.

I work with Rightfax a lot, and I am almost positive that is the default name.

That default really should be changed to something more meaningful, such as "ABC Company", but that doesn't always happen.

Gary, I looked that up that System Switch 09 bit 7 in the manual and that looks like my answer. I will be trying that out on Monday. Thanks for all the replies.
