    Aficio 6500 Dirty Copies

    Good day,

Had a client that has a 6500 machine that is making dirty copies as per attached documents. The copies were done in A4 portrait. According to the client the marks come out on the 1st copy only after the machine has stopped running. Anyone had this problem before. This client is 250km away. Need to prepare myself. PM parts are still in their yield range except for the transfer belt and blade.

Wowser. I'd take a full set of kit just in case. It does however look like there could be something memory related at fault here, or laser. Let's just hope it's something simple!

For what its worth, the first image looks like the Cleaner on the Charge Corona hung up and never made it to its home position.

Depending on the direction of paper travel, you could be right. I have also seen similar from a bad drum shaft ground or bad corona connection.

If that paper is fed LEF my guess is bad drum ground plates,I had that few times especialy with "for use" drums.
Even made mistake once when mounting OEM drum. Drum axis can pinch the ground plate,I think machine generates SC 404,look for it in SP7403.
Gears, springs, clutches, sliders, connectors and electronics...who on earth can tell what's wrong with it?
