    Re: MP401 Somethings fishy here.

Today my boss was on some kind of Ricoh conference call and one of the things mentioned was the terrible performance of the 401 PCDU units. Ricoh is supposedly going to be shipping out filters of some kind next month. I'll post more when I have more info.

You can buy the filter for the MP402 and install it in the same location M0A0-1250. Put that in today.

Filter or no filter the problem still happens and if the problem is the absense of the filter why is not happening in any other model? Now they are talking about foreing materials in the cassette or bypass damaging the cleaning blade. From the manuals i can say that this machine is not a ricoh engine, anyone knows what type of engine this product is using?
The problem happens in all units using the same drum.
    Any feedback?

    Re: MP401 Somethings fishy here.

I am aware of the Modification Program and we have already impent it but most of our cases are with the MP 402 which is having the filters installed at the factory. Also there is a reissued of the bulletin adding as causes for the problem paper dust accumulation inside the machine or foreing substances in the tray or bypass.we started selling this model (gimlet) from the MP 402 and the SP 4520 units and i am interested about the behaviour of the previous units using the same PCU (i.e. MP401, SP4510, SP 3600)
    Any feedback is appreciated
