    Sticky request

Given that there appears to be about ten different people asking about admin password resets in the last couple weeks is there a way to just sticky the original post about it to cut down on the number of threads about it?

or possibly delete all of the posts regarding password resets. If everyone knew how to do it, it kinda defeats the purpose of having them.

Also, if a less than honest competitor were to get factory reset access, they could do a lot of damage to the CQ of a machine.

That would be just plain mean, although I have to say I did leave a competitors tech about 10 extra screws in his pile while he was away from the machine. (and that's good for a few giggles)

Better protecting the passwords would keep more integrity in the industry.

Having them well guarded is the reason for having them in the first place.

    CTN forum house keeping.

Re. Keeping the CTN bandwidth to a minimum, which means faster webpage updates.
Generally if I read a repeat question from a new user, I usually ask they search the CTN forum for the answer.
This keeps the forum duplicate posting down to a minimum.

    Re. Removing ambiguity.....
I also like to snip really loooooooong reply quotes to keep the CTN forum database reduced, which can further assist with the overall subject comprehension, an likewise reduced bandwidth.

When it comes to reading other peoples posts, I neither mind one way or the other. The above is just my personal preferences.

    Re: Sticky request

As the default answer is already here, I think that should be enough. New people can search for it, they will find it if they are patient and persistent enough.
I know, the default search is kind of like

from the book "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency" (that book and the sequel, "The Long Dark Tea Time of the Soul" were written by the same guy that wrote "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", and are all good reads if you have the time) but the default search does work many times when used with a sense of fortitude.
Years ago I found an answer to a problem that had been causing me grief for a while through the default search, and that is why I'm here after all (I signed up so I could give the person that helped me a positive Techrep).
There's a lot of links in this post, sorry about that. As always, open them at your own peril. Although there's only Wikipedia and YouTube this time, so it shouldn't be too bad.

    Re. The video.
... Zen Navigation. The description has a quirky ring to it.

We're all Zen Orienteers on CTN... pardon the pun....
