MP401spf SC547-02 code. zero point crossover error

The book sez to check the harness, the fuses and relay.
I pulled the psu and check the four fuses I could find. All seemed ok.
The harnesses were not damaged either.
The customer had another fuser unit, so I installed it and there was no
change in symptoms. It did give me an SC547-03 once.
I just realized that after I installed that other fuser unit I forgot to reset
    the code with 5810.
Guess I'm going back tomorrow. Any other advice I should have?

    Thanks

    DR

if the power is not stable this problem can happen so first u need to check the source

Yeah, zero cross errors are typically caused by power disturbances. The reset may have been enough by itself. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: MP401spf SC547-02 code. zero point crossover error

That is what I thought I was up against. So when I go back today I need to have
a suppressor on the power line? Like the ones I see in the warehouse that are
cable tied to the power cord?
Would a different machine be able to handle this better? Something more than this
    little MFP?

    Thanks

OK I went back and installed the customers fuser unit and reset the code and got the same result.
Is there something else to check. I did check the sensors and thermostats on both fuser units.
Does that line voltage problem take out any parts like the power supply or control bd?

I would think the power supply bd would take the hit first.

    Thanks

Re: MP401spf SC547-02 code. zero point crossover error

SC547-01 Zero-crossing error (adhered relay contact)
SC547-02 Zero-crossing error (bad relay contact)
SC547-03 Zero-crossing error (low frequency error)

    All errors are PSU related
first is Damaged fusing relay (adhered contact)
second Damaged fusing relay (open contact)
third The frequency of the commercial power supply is unstable.

First try with a Uninterruptible Power Supply
if not work change the psu.

Re: MP401spf SC547-02 code. zero point crossover error

Had the zero crossover error on a martini machine which I caused. I screwed down the thermistor bracket onto the thermistor wire giving that symptom.

My point is the manual didn't really help me because it was vague & off point. I have heard on different machines that the cable ties have pinched wires causing issues. Also no trapped paper in the block connector.

Re: MP401spf SC547-02 code. zero point crossover error

Thanks for the replies, I did not specificlly check for paper in the connector. It was the first time I have seen this machine
and this model. Customer reports having bought it last Feburaruy new from POA. Naturally they gave him a hard time about
    not getting a svc agreement.
These relay's I did see several square componets on the PSU bd that I have know to be relays. I taped on all of them hoping
to free the contacts. No help.
So the customer has another printer plugged into a tap strip which is plugged into the wall where the copier was plugged into.
    They report no problems.
It looks more and more like the PSU is at fault.

    Anyone got a spare

    Thanks

    DR
