    I've had a few break.

The part numbers have changed a couple of times now.

The most recent part number change is:

    AB012233 - Hot Roller Gear
    (Old p/n: AB012062, B1404194)

    AE020242 - Pressure Roller
    (Old p/n: AE020209)

Those two part changes cover the 00, 01, 02 and new 03 range (excluding the 90 ppm models).

That new 03 model like kinda nice, they've made a few nice changes. Let's hope for best, we need a more reliable machine.

Replace the AE01 1117 and replace it.
The quality of new parts is very poor

I make it a habit to replace the gear every time I PM the fuser. I wish they came in the kit.

We fit a new gear every time we fit a new hot roller as there was a high incidence of the gear giving up the ghost with in a week of a new H/R being fitted.
At least 50% of IT is a solution looking for a problem.

    • so which gear is better the AB012233? or the AB01 2316?
    • the AB012316 is from the mp6002 parts guide but precision roller shows it fits much older models.
    • the AB012233 on precision roller shows it fits new models including mp6002.
    • which gear is newer (supposed to be better longer lasting?)
    • makes me confused

I just rebuilt a 301 fuser on Monday... That was LOTS of "No Fun"!

It does not matter how old this thread is, the question is, what gear is the newest/most reliable? I'd like to know also, as they are still failing?
