Paper Jamming in Ricoh MP4500

Dear All,

I have Ricoh MP4500 having jamming issue only when we make duplex copies. if we give a command of 30 copies in duplex, first time paper missfeed on 9th copy with jam code J016, paper stops at enterance of duplex, in second time paper jam on 18th copy and than on 27th copy.

I check and service duplex transport roller and solinide, and also service interchange unit. but no success.

Kindly guide me.

Possibly the bridge cover switches are togging on/off at random, replace all the switches.
Replace the photo interrupters in the fuser section, they become sluggish and react slowly to paper detection.
Unplug the unused tray paper full sensor at the exit rollers.

What does the SMC report say ?

Machine works perfectly when we make 500 copies in simplex mode without any misfeed trouble, problem is in duplex mode only.

Then I would look to the sensors on the duplex unit, or a gate sticking.

I've had rubbish jambed behind the transfer units.
Check the main hinges in the transfer unit. I've had these break and give intermittent duplex jambs.
