MP C300sr - Not stapling

I have 2 MP C300sr's I picked up for resale.
I updated both firmwares to the most recent that I have (2 years old ish).
Not sure if that matters, or if it would have worked beforehand, but one of them refuses to staple from ANY print driver. It works fine when I select stapling in copy mode, but when selecting it in the print driver it just ignores the command.
The other one works perfectly.
Are there Any TSB's or tips about what might cause this? I even tried some diffeent model drivers with the same result.
I have another machine that I could swap the finisher with to test (and likely will try over the weekend), but I feel like it's more likely a "system" problem

If the machine staples OK in copy mode then you can rule out the machine/finisher being the problem it physically works.

Your 2 year old firmware will be way out of date, this is possibly the issue, update all firmware files to the latest available (I can supply you if you don't have access)

Also check that ID codes etc are not enable, it maybe stapling is being restricted etc.

But most likely you simply have the wrong driver or the driver does not the correct finisher option installed.
