    mp2500 bypass tray default setting question

    I have a mp2500 i set the bypass to 8.5x14 it works fine but it goes back to 8.5x11 i dont want this to happen, i tell it and it says programmed, but it resets and goes back to the wrong one, is there a bit switch for this, there is no program button on the panel like other ricoh,s

    Paper tray settings made from the copy function screen are for the current job and will be reset the default when the function times out. If you want to change the default you have to do so through User Tools.

    You can set the screen and save it as default to what you have set. To do this you would need to programme the bypass like you normally would. Then select the autopaper detect setting on the front screen so the bypass is no longer highlighted. You will see a key on the ops panel that has a rectangle and a diagonal arrow. Press that key then select the programme as default button. I don't have one in front of me right now but I'm sure that's it. I'll check tomorrow.

    Maybe not. I just did a user manual word search using "program" and came up with nothing about home screen programming, just fax, LADP server, and address book programming. I was searching the general settings and copy reference guides. It also shows bypass paper size programming, but no save option. All settings revert to default when clear modes is pressed.

    can i set a bit switch somewhere? or any other way to default this to 8.5 x 14?
