    DF67 with jam code 3

Same AF450. When the originals are fed letter orientation no jams. When they are fed letter R or legal I get code 3 jams and the originals are left in the pickup tray with the leading edge folded under at the separation tire.

The counter says 285K on the DF tires but I don't believe it. They look like brand spankin' new. The shaft has a pretty deep groove where the one-way bearing drives it, but this makes no sense to me. Why would it work letter but not letter R if the one-way was slipping? I can see the pickup roller rotating so if it is slipping its not stopping completely.

The separation torque limiter is not seized. Just turning by hand though, you can't really tell anything. My wrist doesn't measure rotational torque very well.

I plan to order the feed shaft, one-way bearing, and possibly another set of pickup/feed/sep. Any suggestions? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

As I recall there was a problem with the upper feed assy. That 2" x 3" black plastic "bracket", for lack of a better term, that holds the p/u roller & feed belt. Over time it would weaken and literally bend & bow. Sounds like the same symptom. They updated the part with a beefier one. Don't have the new part number on hand. Maybe someone else out there does?

    Fixed.

The torque limiter did the trick. When I looked closely at the torque limiter there were were cracks in the direction of the feed shaft. I'm sure the feed shaft and one-way bearing helped. Thanks! =^..^=
