Ricoh MP 4002/5002 Web GUI password reset

Hey guys,

I am trying to get in to the admin section of the web GUI for a MP4002. I have tried “admin” as the login blank password, and “supervisor” as the login also blank password. I have also tried both of these methods through the “User Tools “button then” Login” option at the top of the screen.

I have also ran SP5801-1 Data Erase All, SP5801-20 Web Application, and SP5832-1 HDD Format All. Firmware was updated to the following;

On another note this machine and a few others I have are off lease from a bank (Bank of the West) so I am assuming the security was high.

You can't think that you're the first person to experience this situation?
There must be dozens and dozens of threads relating to the WIM password.
I feel that's why the responses have been slow....most of us are simply tired of discussing it.
The best tip I can give you is to disregard your specific model number, and just search the Ricoh Forum, because the process is the same for almost every model (except for the really old ones)
There are ways to reset the Credentials. Some free. Some at a cost, and some very complicated.

As you checked every primary suspected option and not solved so I'll suggest you to replace the NV RAM. Cause few days ago I also solved that issue by replacing NV RAM.

And there in lies your problem.

Also there is a setting in System SP that disables WIM.

Figured it out SP5846-46. I also tried the Hex editor method, unsuccessful there. Thank you all
