Do not run fuser in output mode unless you remove the waste toner bottle 1st-you'll end up trashing the sleeve!
I've had a faulty fusing pressure motor/exit motor do this from new.
It's the combined motor...easy to get to.
Ignore the bulletin attachment...it's for a different model....(didn't have my specs on)
I have gotten vibration noise from the bridge unit, eve when new.
Hi there!
Had this last week, a MPC 5504 with 100k prints on it, the fuserīs groaning like a hungry bear. But itīs in the warranty, so we send it to RICOH. This is until now the only fuser with noise in the whole Metis-range.
Greetings...
Thanks for all the input. I was there for the same issue a few weeks ago and after running numerous copies it vibrated for about 10 seconds and then would not do it again. It was from the fuser area but can't swear to it actually being from the fuser. They do have a finisher so will keep bridge unit in mind also. Didn't know about damaging the fuser sleeve when running in test mode...thanks for that tip. Does it walk off and self destruct or from excess heat?? Had updated firmware even though new but will double check engine.
Oze, was the faulty pressure/exit motor problem constant? Intermittent?
The customer says it's doing a lot now so hopefully it will, while I am there. Can't go til next week though. Thanks again.
