    Ricoh MP 2501SP

I have a problem with a Ricoh MP 2501SP copier. I cannot access to admin via web panel by using default passwords. Seems someone changed admin password for me.

Is there another way to reset device without administrator password ?

I looked how access to SP Mode in Service manual, but there is nothing written about it.

Try the supervisor account. If no one changed this account you can reset the administrator password.

    name account: supervisor
    password: null

Contact your Ricoh support office and see if they will provide you with the way to get into Factory SP mode. It can be cleared there.

One thing I have seen dealer tech do in the past is the admin password being set to the numeric portion of the model.

How does that compare to the cost of a new NVRAM as, without entering Factory SP mode, is the only way to clear.

There is a simple way to reset the admin password by entering special SP mode.

Users of this site get upset posing this kind of info in the public domain, search this site you will find the procedure
