    MPC7501 not reading new toner

First off , im not a big fan of these machines,
I put a new K toner in and the meter didnt move off of under 20% replace soon, I put the bag in correctly(OEM) and so forth, is there any other way around this stupid chip in the bag? can i just manually tell it it has a new toner? i did not re-boot the machine, but ive not ever had to do that.
Is there any solution to this ? it reads the bag at least but the meter still stays the same...It has the latest firm ware ,
    thanks

Oh dear, the infamous Venus add toner. Prepare yourself.

Set SP 3410-001 to 10 and reboot.
If that doesn't fix it, back up it's NVram, engine clear it, re-upload the NVram, set the above SP mode back to 10 and reboot.
If that still doesn't fix it, re-dev it.
If that still, still doesn't fix it, take a deep breath and order a toner pump.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.
