What kind of issues are you having? Granted we don't have many of those, but they're not problem makers either...

Hi there!
If itīs a brand new, then the filter-modification is done at the factory, otherwise youīll get the mod. from RICOH. IMPORTANT- the newest fw (package & module) must be installed. Sometimes the papersize-wheel at the papercassette is turned by customer on a wrong papersize - jam. When thereīs a visit clean out the paperdust (for better drum-live, thereīs also a RTB) & the led-head. Thatīs all.
Greetings...
We have one 401 in the field that has maybe 35k on it and is on drum number five or six. Lines get ground into the drum surface destroying it. I have added the filter from the 402 to it in hopes of fixing the problem. It's on its first post filter drum unit. So we shall see.
yeah, the drums have been the main issue on t he 401s. and blowing toner up on the led array. but we have a 3rd party wanting to install a 402 and us service it, not sure if we will be encountering the same issues or not.
Wow where do you start
Being a rebadged Kyocera box for a start is not a good thing
I have replaced more drums than I can remember again due to the filter not being fitted
I have modified a bucket load to add the filter lol
I have even had the device not detect the toner, had to replace the toner detection connector, harness and engine board to fit it
All the drive rollers in the doc feeder are sponge so they wear out extremely quickly and cause non feeding and duplex jams and good luck replacing them, ordered a new doc feeder to fix it
Other than that service intervals are excellent and they are a clean box which helps.....
how are the 402s compared to the 401s? better or worse or same?
