    firmware updating

ok, trying to figure out the easiest way to do this.

i know its a long process to download f/w from Ricoh and then install.

can you load several f/ws on one sd card? does anyone know how to get notifications of a f/w update for a family? i dont want to carry 30 sd cards for this...lol

Its a very quick process if you use the batch downloader program.

You can store more than one model per SD card, also the later models accept the new & larger capacity SDHC cards.

What site have you been looking all over. Firmware download should be done from esource. From TSRC, click on RFG eSource.

I'm not sure what you're after. There is an old batch file hanging around CTN from about 6-7 years ago.
    Try any search engine with:

Only works when using Internet Explorer!

First install the batch downloader program (link above button)
Insert your SD card into your pc/laptop
Check all the firmware boxes on the left (except java etc)
Click batch download, the program will download all the files, unzip them, create & copy to folder romadata on your SD card

    Re: firmware updating

    Hi there!
I´ve learned it the HARD WAY, never put more than one package & modul (fwu)-firmware on one sd-card. For the newer models there´s a RTB in which is detailed described what´s good and what´s not. I´ve the fw for my models in the field on my laptop, and if necessary i format the sd-card with the Panasonic-tool from the RICOH-site & load the fw which i need on it. Little time consumpting, but you´re on the safe side.
    Greetings...

Looks like you folks in Europe have a different setup than those of us in the Americas. Our 'batch download' off the eSource is based on an unsigned Java applet that due to security issues doesn't run for most people now.

I'm Canadian. The state of our supports from the US is pretty dismal.
