    Imprestik had the solution, the issue was getting both sides all the way in. At the time there wasn't a bulletin and still isn't on the TSRC for US, not sure what was previously referenced. The service manual wasn't updated with the proper procedure at time of service but has since been corrected.

    I think that actually, there's a SP to replace the fuser, without turning off the manchine and then on to move the pressure gear.
