SP mode sequence can be customized on the models using the new sequence. Perhaps it has been changed? Alternatively, has SP mode lock been turned on in user tools?

Not the mode lock I even turned it on to try. It beeps if it is on after entering code. Didn't know about customization. Can I set it back to default? Or do I just re-customize it?

    Re: MP C5503 SP mode

In SP 5081 the service mode access code can be changed from the default 806*** to anything numerical.
If this SP setting has been changed then the only way to access service mode to change back is to enter the new code.

*43 factory mode wont allow you to reset the SP access code, the setting is not there to change it.

You could try SP 5046-046 in factory mode, but I don't think this will work.
Other than that, NVRAM unless anybody knows better!
