    ricoh 240w keeping the dam thing open?

    is there a trick to keeping this thing open? so i can work on it? ive been propping it open with my flashlight , i can seem to find a "stay" or any sort of lock to keep it open,
    please help... this is a pain, i have to replace the ID sensor for the sc401, thank you

    If it won't stay open on its own then the lift cylinders are shot. They all seem to do this. I carry a dowel I cut to the correct length to prop it up.

    The part # for the Gas Spring is B125 1086 (X2) . I had to get a co-worker to hold it up as I changed them. Customer almost caught their hand smashed clearing a jam. What a pain.
