Buongiorno A Tutti
Grazie
Goodmorning everyone
I have a customer who has an abnormal problem with a RICOH MPC305SPF.
He had a problem with the yellow.
If I printed a color photo the yellow was not printed on the edges, so the colors were all packed.
I then changed the toner and the yellow drum.
Problem solved.
A month ago the customer reminded us with the usual problem, yellow missing on the edges.
Replaced drum and toner, and continued to work.
Now the problem has reappeared, I can not change drum and toner every time.
The laser part is ok, if I record color by mistake.
Also changed transfer tape but the problem persists.
Now I have shaken the yellow toner and started working again, but how far will it go ahead before the problem reappears?
Did you after the replace reset the pm counter for the yellow pcdu and pull the yellow toner out and back again?
I would look to the toner supply (hopper) and check the sponge.
Also check and compare Vt SP3210 001-004 and and Vref SP230 001-004. 2017-07-01 17_30_38-Microsoft Word - RD117051b - RD117051b.pdf.jpg
This RTB just for your information but does not quite concern your problem.
My read is that the yellow toner supply to the Development unit is blocked/reduced. Either it is the spong or the shutter of the hopper unit (toner hopper coil twists/breaks). I had to change one in the past. You almost have to take the whole unit apart. It is better then to bring the mpc into the workshop.
The toner supply coils are made from cheap flexible plastic and can stretch and knot in the duct reducing the toner supply.
It's as much fun as a swift kick in the ball bags getting the toner supply hopper and sub-hoppers out onsite.
Give yourself plenty of time and room, your need it.
