    Td sensor initialize issue

    Dear all,
Today i replace developer in mp9002sp because of print/copy quality problem after replacing developer i want to intialize td sensor first i enter lot no. Then i do intialization by sp2801 but as i press execute complete message appear without any delay normally td sensor initialization takes 1min.
I replace complete developer unit from other machine with developer but same issue occurs then i did all memory clear by sp5801 but issue not resolved, i check last developer was made only 26000 copies/prints and we replace that for mainting copy/print quality.
    Kindly guide me.
    Thanks in advance.

replace all PM parts with genuine Ricoh parts and start again, do not forget to re-input all the SP from birth certificate that you memory cleared.

    NEVER CLEAR ALL MEMORY!!!

No, when you did SP 5801-001 you cleared settings not counters. You introduced the potential for a lot more problems than you corrected.

The developer lot number does not matter on this model. Just make up any numbers (1234567). There is a tech pub on toner dusting and light copy for low usage. Indeed I agreed with SlimSlob about a memory clear. In my 10 years experience, I did one memory clear with the birth certificate in front of me.

I used to do this also, not putting in the correct value...
I have noticed premature QA problems in 2 cases and since i put in the correct value, there were no problems anymore of this kind.
    So, better be ware!

Developer lot number is for tracking purpose only. If you notice premature failure of developer on multiple units, you can report the lot number to Ricoh. If multiple people report problems with the same lot number Ricoh will QC that lot and if they determine it to be defective they might issue a refund.
