If you have the classic printer menu icon setup, go there, and go to the Error Log. More than likely a job was sent that the machine did not understand/did not have the correct setup for, so it would have been dumped.
If you don't have the classic printer icon, follow the instructions here on how to add it: Adding shortcuts to the [Home] screen
If a job calls for a size or type of paper that is not present or calls for stapling and the machine is out of staples, the job will not be printed. Unlike older models that would not print anything until operator intervention on the "unprintable job" the new models will just place the job in the hold queue and print the rest of the jobs.
When the user requests the release again the prints leave without error. Example: The user has 50 jobs already stored in the printer, selects all and prints, exits 35 and displays the error saying that he can not print the remaining 15, then he requests the printing again and the remaining 15 leave.
There is an issue in the printer setting from the computer probably calling for A4 paper instead of letter and or legal. When the user goes to the copier and prints again it will print using the existing paper out of the trays ignoring the size sent from the computer. If he goes back and checks those printer settings from the computer he will probably find that he is requesting a size that is not in the copier. It can be frustrating trying to find out why it didn't print only to find they were asking for a different size than available. I have had this happen across the board on different brands of copiers. Hope this helps.
1. have it already printout well? I mean, did this problem "came out of the bleu" after it worked fine?
2. have they installed new programs on there computer?
3. was there a change in those programs?
4. was there an intervention of an IT'er shortly?
5. is it always from the same comouter with a particular program?
6. or is is just from page 35 (and then the printer "stalls")?
7. connect your lap top : the same problem?
????
Many questions, but you give to little info!!!
Auto continue for rotate sort can also cause this issue. It's a bastard of a fault and difficult to find. I switch it on on all the newer kit. Printer Features / System.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.
