Ricoh MP C305 - Printer saying ''PLEASE WAIT'' and not doing anything else

    Hi all,

I have got an Ricoh MP C305SP (no HDD, no FAX) wich starts normally but the printer module is staying in ''PLEASE WAIT'' status and can't do anything on it.

    What I have done:

    1. Checked everything working in Output Mode
    2. Checked fusing unit temperature ok
    3. Tried different fuser
    4. Firmware update
    5. Memory all clear
    6. Changed the controller and the BICU board

My next step is the control panel and PSU, hopefully one of those is gonna solve it but I'm not very confident. This machine drove me crazy, working on it for 2 weeks and no luck.

Any idea would be much apreciated.

    Thanks

Normally "please wait" problem can solved by formatting the HDD, but yours without HDD, quite strange

Check the memory installed. Since the C305 does not require HDD in order to print, its memory requirement is higher. If it does not have 1 GB or the memory is corrupted, the print function cannot initialize.
