SPC830 Fuser Unit in an MPC5502

Quick question i've been fitting the SPC830DN Transfer Belt Unit to the MPC5502 (This unit is a lot cheaper than the belt & cleaning unit)

My question is has anyone tried fitting the SPC830DN fuser unit to the MPC5502 ?
As again the complete 830 fuser is a lot cheaper than the 5502 sleeve & film.

Just a bit of a update on this.

Only use the fuser maintenance kit of the 4502/5502's

Do not use them on the 3002/3502's.

Fusing lamps are different and will cause SC553 on a 3002/3502, while it will work to start off with it wont last long....

My colleague recently fitted the SPC830N fuser kit 407097 to an MPC5502 & so far no issues, maybe because we use 220v it is compatible?

The fuser unit on an SP c830DN wears out quickly using 100 lb (300g) paper in my experience from 20 to 30,000 copies. MP c5502 fuser, should I expect the same life time?
My SP C830DN printer at less than 100,000 copies has three fuser blown. Where can I buy the fuser band, which is the only thing I need to change?

Kind of all fusers using a sleeve on a static core don't like high amounts of thick paper, especially if you feed it SEF. You can buy the sleeve from katun I guess - I tried that once and it worken but didn't bother again.

You must change more than the FUSER BAND>>>i think you mean fuser sleave.
there is a cotton lubricating pad that attaches with a lot of small screws.
You need the sleave, the cotton lub pad and the high temp oil or greas, whatever they call it.
I would also change the gears on the side.
pressure roller needs to be checked too.
