    MP2851 scan to usb drive

    Hello guys,

    I would like to know whether Ricoh MP2851 can scan to USB drive?
    I found there is a USB port at the controller board,but when i insert my
    USB drive,nothing appear in machine panel.

    If i remember correctly you can make it work, but there is a setting in SP mode that needs to be activated.
    Press the GREEN button!!

    Thank a lot for your advice,i am checking the setting in SP mode but i am not sure which is the correct SP code.

    It would need the USB2.0/SD Slot Type A option but i dont think it is available for that model

    Enter the SP mode, and then change the setting of SP1013-001 from “0” to “1”.

    That "kit" was just a convenience feature, bringing the slot to the front on the machine - besides giving access to an sd card slot as well.
    If the setting is on the ports directly on the controller accept memory devices. It is just more of a schelp to plug/unplug it on the side of the machine.

    That should be Printer SP mode. The kit is not needed. Just use a USB extension cable and connect it to the USB slot that the kit would connect to.
