    MP CW2200 no paper detection

    Hi! Can somebody help me we have a
    MP CW2200 large format and it's not
    detecting the roll feeder paper. It initialize
    but it doesn't detect the paper.

    This might help:
    CW2200 roll loading issue

    You have to be patient with this inky beast, it doesn't do anything quickly. Lift up the guide plate. Insert the leading edge of the paper, and let the machine feed part of it in. Drop the plate, and then don't mess with it. It takes a while, but it should complete the loading process after a while. During the process, notice that it says on the display "do not open covers". That includes the guide plate you dropped into position. If you lift it up again, you will have to restart the whole procedure.

    I have tried it, but it drop the leading edge of the paper out from the machine.
    it does'nt stop in the pre registration.

    I've had to clean the DRESS SENSOR to fix this problem before. It's located on the left side of the carriage. Easy to remove the cover for it(screw is way up on top).

    Make sure the black bed that the dress sensor looks down on is free from paper dust, have had dusty machines do the same.

    Other issues have been the roll not on straight even when it looks fine, try another roll if you can.
