    Fusing troubles

    Hi Guys

I have been struggling with this machine for over a month now.

I has intermittent fusing problems. (See attachment) Maybe twice a week.

    I have:

    - replaced the complete fusing unit.
    - Set temp higher as per mod bulletin

    The repeat is always 95mm

Bottom of the image was the leading edge. Normal 80gm paper is used.

    Any ideas?

if copying is paper tray type set to thick or card stock. same with printing they need to tell what paper type they are using. This will adjust fuser temp and speed should notice taking a little longer for copy to exit out.

What machine is it? The issue could be numerous things depending on model (always helpful to know this)

Hi. Machine is set to plain paper as this is plain paper. It will print one or 2 a week like this. Very seldom.

I forgot to mention this is a MPC3002

Looking at your sample what makes you believe the issue is caused by the fuser?

At the bottom right the yellow point of the for sale repeats at 95mm. The fusing belt looks like the only part close to that circumference.

    what else can cause this?

Black drum unit is offsetting. If it were the fusing unit it would be all 4 colors being offset.

Pretty high coverage at the leading edge and in general.

Have you tried the middle thick paper type setting? it can make a difference.
Maybe look at turning fuser idling on / increasing the fuser rotational time before the first print.

    Genuine toner?
