Done all of our local bigger accounts, multiple machines but no travel.
Now comes the small one machine accounts where it will be more travel than work.

I've got about 1700 across Australia to track down and 350 of them will need the mylar mod kit fitted.
At least Ricoh have caught up with the real world and have acknowledged how much it really costs to lob a tech through the customers front door. We're getting reimbursed $60 AUD for firmware and $90 AUD for fitting the kit.
Since we only got $11 for the last compulsory firmware update that is a major improvement.
The $hit fight will start when I claim all the copiers we did under RRN0024 then want to claim again when we had to revisit them when they released RRN0024a and we had to fit the kit.
At least 50% of IT is a solution looking for a problem.
Most of the time our customers only replace a machine when it is dead, or will no longer work with their current operating system.
We have a few customers with 1018s, plenty of 1515's and a variety of machines between 2020's and 2851's.
We only have a total of three CXX03's in the field at all. Most of our color customers have C2050 or C2051's one C6000 I despise and maybe one C2800.
We do have maybe five that have CXX04 series machines and one or two 04ex machines out there.
Our newest machines are those that are part of state wide Ricoh contracts and those are almost exclusively BW.
Just completed my first 8 today all at one site, went armed with a few SD cards so while a half were updating I was fitting mylars on the others

Did my first one today and I was dumbfounded, it already had the mylar kit on it. Compared the serial numbers and this machine was 700 past the given serial number.
As predicted it has happened, after doing 20+ of these mylar mods i’m now stuck with an SC666-02 machine was working fine before I took the IOB off to fit the mod!
Never seen this error, am I looking at a new IOB!?
Removed & refitted so I know 100% all connections good.

All done ,215 machines 12 working days, not all me,managed 12 one day!!-not all on the same site!!
Did my last one on Tuesday, final one in our area was completed late Friday.
Hope October is a tad quieter, now that has finished
We have one account with about 800 C4503s located in about 10 cities in the US.
They are all running Streamline NX.
Hopefully, the firmware won’t futz with it. (It shouldn’t, but we all know how that works...).
