    "Remote Copy" on Ricoh Machines?

    Hello everyone!

Here's a challenge for you guys.
Anyone knows of a way to do "Remote Copy" between two machines? What I mean is this: I want to put the original on machine A, but want the output on machine B. With software like Autostore this is possible, but is there any other way?

    Thanks

There used to be a kit that you had to purchase some years ago that was available for certain models.

I remember setting up 2 large B&W machines with it in a print shop. If I recall, it did not work very well, and was quite ugly. That was at least 10 years ago, maybe longer.

I highly doubt that it's a valid option these days. If it is, it's not well advertised. I may be wrong.

Streamline NX would be another alternative.

Copy Connector Type 3260 (B328-11). Was still available for the MP C65602SP/C8002SP/Pro C5100s/C5110s.

Copy Connector Type M25 (D3D3) for the C6503/8003 and their Pro models.

You can check other models. Check the installation portion of the service manual.

I forgot to mention a tiny detail. The machines are on different locations, but on the same network. I think that almost any Document Management Solution is able to do this, but the goal is to have the least expensive solution possible (as always )

I don't know the exact models the client has but I think they are MP C307 and MP C2004 or something like this.

Copy Connector kit is intended for use to connect 2 identical high volume or 2 identical production machines together. Mp C307 and MP C2004 are low end machines and not intended to connect together.

It does not use the network connection. It uses a connection cable that comes with the kit. Maximum cable distance between machines is 9 meters if only one hub is used and 13.5 meters if 2 hubs are used.

I've never seen a Copy Connector kit but I've read about it. That's why I mentioned the models of the machines.

There's a kit similar to Copy Connector but to use for fax.
    Fax Connection Unit Type M19

    • Enables users to send and receive faxes on a sub MFP via a main MFP. This option is required on both the Main MFP that has the Fax Option Type M19 installed and on the Sub MFP(s) needing remote fax.

    Let's brainstorm a little more...

Scan the document, then print it to the remote printer.

I want to do the operation from the machine where the original is, just like a copy.

It is a copier designed to make a local copy of the original.

Yes I know that I'm just trying to find a way to do the impossible, but I'm not giving up yet.
