    MP301 front door interlock

have an MP301 with an intermittent close front cover message.
tried taking off some covers to get to the switch but didn’t really see how to get in there.
I was in the customers office and didn’t want to break any of the covers accidentally.
anyone been into one of these far enough to know how to get to the interlock switch?

once i had to change one off two switchs , and it was easy.
you must take off the operation panel ,fusing unit and some screws.

    Hi

These boxes have a nasty habit of breaking the right door switch (more likely due to user intervention!). It is a very flimsy part that sits in the area where the top of the right door meets the side of the op panel.

I have seen ones where the switch fell apart completely. All that was left was the base where the loom plugs in. There was a large chunk out of the black cover plastic that was supposed to keep the white plunger in place.

Had to hunt around for a replacement as it was not a normal wear part we kept in stock. Found the MP2000 Lover cover switch was a match - quite a B with an itch to replace though....
    Press the GREEN button!!

Yes it was no fun getting in there.
I was able to adjust the switch actuators to work but really the top left corner of the right side door is warped a little (probably from the heat from the fuser) causing the door to not close completely flush.
