    BK 5030 Fault code: Bk-159

Hi All, I seem to be stuck with a similar problem to the thread referring to a Bk-151 fault with the same machine. I'm wondering if it is the same some how. Plockmatic Bk 5030 with trimmer and bookfold unit set up as a stand alone. on powering up it initializes then goes to faultcode: BK-159 Faultinarea, power off and on. Picture just shows machine with exclamation mark inside triangle. Can anyone tell how to address this one and the service manual would be worth its weight in gold event though i'm more in the tin range? Thanks

With a Plockmatic, the letters refer to the major component. BK=Book Maker, CF=Cover Feeder, TR=Trimmer, BF=Book Folder, CT=Creaser Trimmer and ST=Stacker Motor.

    From the Service Manual:
BK-159 PCB MD6DC (MIDDLE CARD) “B” Not Connected.
Fault Code indicates that the MD6DC B is not connected.
    Initial Actions
Make sure that all connectors are properly connected to PCB MD6DC B.
Make sure that the dipswitches on the PCB are set correctly.
    Procedure
    1. Power off the machine.
    2. Measure for continuity between P4-1 on MD6DC PCB "B" and P4-1 on MD6DC PCB "C" (LOWER CARD)
    3. There is continuity. Go to step 5.
    4. No continuity - Repair Wire Harness.
    5. Measure for continuity between P4-2 on MD6DC PCB “B” and P4-2 on MD6DC PCB “C”.
    6. There is continuity - Replace MD6DC PCB "B"
    7. No continuity - Repair Wire Harness.
