If the sleeve is not damaged just replace SC554 Fuse M0264371

    Hello there.

How did you manage to solve this? Replaced the fuser (sleeve was destroyed), replaced the bicu (as per the manual) and firmware is up to date. Still sc554. And yes, it's a mpc305 (a4 machine).

    Cheers!

You also need to replace the fuse

Fuse? Never noticed that mpc305 had any fuse... Where does it connect to?
And why doesn't the manual mention it, just telling to replace the bicu?

Got it. I'm pissed that the manual doesn't even mention the fuser replacement for this code, just the bicu.

    Thanks for the pic.

How much did the BICU cost or did you fit a used one?

    A lot more that a 1p fuse!

Fortunately I had a spare used one. Wonder if we can use standard Pico fuses (aka the green ones used on komi machines)

    Re: Ricoh c305

i made a small kit with a old connector from a thermister and an old small door switch with about 6 feet of thin alarm wire.
I connect this to where that pico fuse wld go and turn on copier and go into service mode and
Enter SP mode and goto SP5810-002.Before you tap execute push and hold the switch in. hit execute and release..
it took me a few tries to get the timing right..
I only did this after mt machine refused to blow that danm pico fuse with a new fuser sleeve...........

Radial lead fuse such as TR5 of the correct amperage should work. Might have to trim lead.

    TR5 Fuses - Littelfuse
