Is there any print engine activity / movement on power up?
If there is try accessing the web interface and seeing if there is any error code displayed.
If it just sits there with a green light and no engine activity on power up it could be number of things.
- Missing voltage range / check blown fuse conditions on the PSU.
- Faulty PSU
- Faulty controller
- Faulty polygon mirror motor / BICU
- Knowledge not shared, is eventually knowledge that becomes lost... like tears in the rain.

If you can access WIM, check the status for error codes. SC 202, SC 203 or SC 204 would indicate a blown polygon mirror motor. On some models, the polygon mirror motor will also take out the BICU. Replace both as a set to prevent blowing the new part if you only replace one.
Hi there!
Take a flashlight in an angle of ca. 45 degrees & look if can see the errorcode on the display. As slimslob mentioned the BICU/polygonmotor you can see the error-code with this trick.
Greetings...
Taking a solution from a previous thread...and we used successfully.
If this is a SC 202 resulting from a bad polygon and the BICU has also failed.
Take a look at the BICU for a tiny resistor (very tiny) near the lower right power connector. There is a row of them, they all have a "0" printed on them, except for the one which is "burnt"
If your good with soldering, there were some who have replaced them. I just soldered across the resistor and has been good for quite a while now. ( I did replace the polygon to prevent another failure)
Figured it would need a new BICU anyway, nothing lost in trying.
